A forum for local business people to meet and network
Where would you find an antique dealer, gin-maker, nutritionist, business coach, cricket tour operator and mortgage broker together in one room?
They are just some of the local business people who have joined the Chiswick Lunch Break at the Lamb on the High Road. Launched in February, the group has become an increasingly popular forum for meeting and sharing expertise in a relaxed and informal way.
It has now grown to over 200 members who have signed up (via the online MeetUp site www.meetup.com/Chiswick-Lunch-Break). As one member said: “What I really love about these lunches is that they provide a great opportunity for networking without the stress of pitches or hard sells.”
The next meeting, on Wednesday November 16, is the final event of this year. Members are a good mix of men and women from different age groups and professions. They include restaurant and café owners, accountants, will writers, marketing specialists, copy writers, photographers, graphic designers, web designers and even a matchmaker.
Anyone interested in joining can sign-up on the MeetUp site. Don’t forget to RSVP. The lunch costs £10 and includes a drink – pay (cash only) upon arrival – and is held from 12.30-2pm.
