Prof Cycles Off With 150 Women

Gwen Young joins Robert Winston in Indochina

Gwen Young, a Chiswick resident, is joining approximately 150 women and one man, Professor Lord Winston, Chairman of Genesis Research Trust, to take up the challenge of a life time and cycle through Vietnam and Cambodia.

This five day 400km challenge is the 11 th Women for Women cycle ride which raises much needed funds for Genesis Research Trust. With around 250 babies dying weekly in the UK from complications during pregnancy (1 in 8 babies born prematurely; 1 in 4 women experience miscarriage, 1 in 175 babies are stillborn), this charity lies at the heart of the most profound of all human wishes: to have a happy and healthy family.
