Event organised by Bedford Park Residents' Association
With the government decision due before the end of the year, time is running out if you wish to protest against the recommendation of the Davies Commission to build London’s Third Runway at Heathrow.
Bedford Park Residents’ Association has arranged a public meeting on 25 November at 7.00pm at St Michael & All Angels, Bath Road, to provide more information on the impact of the proposal on Bedford Park and to outline how residents can help influence the decision before it’s too late.
Former BBC correspondent, Torin Douglas, will chair the meeting and speakers will include John Stewart, Chairman HACAN (the Heathrow Association for the Control of Aircraft Noise), CHATR (Chiswick Against Third Runway), Rupa Huq, MP Ealing Central & Acton, the Bedford Park Society and local Councillors. Zac Goldsmith has also been invited to speak.
Hugh Johnson, Chairman of Bedford Park Residents’ Association, said,“In a recent survey, our members told us that the issue of Heathrow aircraft noise and the proposed Third Runway was the most important locally. We responded by organising this meeting for both our members and any other local residents who would like to come along on the night.”
Drinks will be available from 6.30pm in the Gabriel Room for a 7.00pm start at St Michael & All Angels, Bath Road.
