Artist turned writer Jeanette Lineham scoops prize
The lucky winner of this year's Artists at Home prize draw sponsored by John D Wood & Co, is Jeanette Lineham. She now lives in Chessington, but was born and brought up in Chiswick which she still regards as home.
Jeanette is an artist herself, but now focuses on writing; “Growing Up in Post-War West London” is the title of her memoirs of life in Bedford Park.
Jeanette has chosen to spend her art token on two ceramic sculptures by Brook Green artist Alicia Stroud, a regular participant in Artists at Home. While most of the artists were recovering from the 3-day open studio in June, Alicia was making an impressive 588 mile bike ride from Dresden to The Hook of Holland/, averaging over 45 miles a day.
