Apple Day At Duke’s Meadows

Fun activities and delicious fruit

A fun-filled day has been organised for Apple Day at Duke's Meadows on Sunday, 21st October.

Activities will include apple bobbing, apple biting and the competition for the best decorated apple. Children are invited to bring their apples to the market on the day. The best decorated apple wins the prize! Abundance are bringing their apple press and apple peeler, so come along and have a go!

Chris Dench from Ringden Farm who sells his apples and apple juice at the market said: “English apples have a very special flavour and this is the best time of the year to enjoy them. We love Apple Day - the fact that all over the country people celebrate a traditional, local, seasonal food.”

The event aims to encourage people to enjoy this delicious English fruit. A wide variety of apples, apple pies and apple juices will be available to sample at the market.
