MP chosen for Culture, Media and Sport
Following her return to the backbenches, Angie Bray MP decided to put herself forward for a position on Parliament's Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee. The Ealing MP has won the support of colleagues who voted for her in what she said was quite a competitive election.
Angie said, "I am obviously delighted to be on this Committee – there is a lot of interesting and important work lying ahead, not least the Leveson Report, the issues coming out of the Jimmy Savile case, looking at what support can be given to Britain's creative industries to maintain their excellent reputation and, of course, our Olympic legacy.
