Including new regular market (Ad)
This summer has seen the return of the Summer Series at The Brentford Project, bringing together a host of local partners for a jam-packed events programme and designed to celebrate the best of west London's arts and cultural scene – including new weekly markets in The Brentford Project's yards.
Still to come, offering up some of the area's finest fares, RMS Markets is taking over the yards on three Saturdays in August: 7th, 14th and 28th. There is an impressive variety of stalls each week, from delicious fresh produce, hot food and drinks – to take away or eat there and then - through to plant and flower stalls, terrarium art, handmade crafts and furnishings, and much more. Moving to a weekly format for the remainder of the summer, head down between 10am and 3pm on Saturdays to enjoy all the market has to offer – there's something for everyone! On-site bakery, Rye by the Water, will also be offering a wide selection of delicious freshly baked treats and outdoor dining on its waterside terrace every weekend - the ideal spot for a drink with family and friends.
For culture vultures, on 20th and 21st August, there's a weekend of interactive outdoor theatre from The Walking Theatre Company. Transforming The Brentford Project's outdoor spaces into a living, breathing stage, the team will bring an unforgettable production of The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream to Brentford's waterside, with the immersive experience complemented by a delicious three-course dinner and drinks from Rye by the Water.
Local artist Mr Pearce will be lending his expertise for ‘Paint the Town Blue' and hosting a series of painting classes during August as well – with The Brentford Project's waterside setting providing a picturesque backdrop for each session.
Plus, The Brentford Project's event space is also hosting an ongoing roster of regular classes and workshops, including weekend workouts with cult fitness brand House of Voga, a blend of yoga, fashion, Vogue and contemporary dance, and terrarium art workshops with Glass Gardens London.
