After a long absence a new series of walks by Hounslow Heritage Guides has been announced.

They provide a chance to learn about the history of the borough over a 90 minute walk at a gentle pace.

The cost is £3 and there is no need to book, just pay the guide on the day. Children can join for no charge.

Sunday 25 July - Hounslow Heath

A haunt of highwaymen, army camps, gunpowder mills and the first civil airport

See 360 year old alms-houses a man-made river also a onetime home of artist JMW Turner

A walk through its Industrial past and present

Sunday 31 October – Chiswick Bodies and Ghosts

Discover little known and notorious inhabitants from Saxon times to the 20th Century
