Brentford FC is celebrating 100 years of playing football at Griffin Park over the next season and plans are underway to mark the centenary in style. Gunnersbury Park Museum is a hive of activity as they collect material for their exhibition opening in September - "The Bees Knees - Celebrating 100 Years of Brentford FC at Griffin Park". Curator Vanda Foster told BrentfordTW8.com: "We have already got recorded interviews from many fans and supporters and have been collecting programmes, photographs and a whole range of memorabilia. We still need more photos, badges, programmes etc. - especially from the 1950s to 1970s. We are also looking for sponsors to help us make this a really lively, family-friendly exhibition. For further details, contact Vanda Foster at Gunnersbury Park Museum at gp-museum@cip.org.uk. |
