Police busted drug deal at Brentford Lodge
A Brentford man is amongst two men to have been sentenced to a total of 25 years imprisonment for drug related offences at Isleworth Crown Court.
John Urrego-Castano, 35 years, unemployed of Town Meadows, Brentford, Middlesex was sentenced to a total of 16 years imprisonment, having been charged with the following:
- Supply of Class A controlled drugs [10 kilos of cocaine]
- Possession with intent to Supply Class A controlled drugs [5 kilos of cocaine found at his
home address]
- Possession of a counterfeit passport.
Chris Yerocosta, 46 years, unemployed of Windsor Road, Palmers Green, London
N13 was sentenced to nine years imprisonment, having been charged with possession with intent to Supply Class A controlled drugs [10 kilos of cocaine].
The sentencing follows a proactive investigation by officers from SCD7 Serious and
Organised Central Taskforce (East). On 05.04.05 a meeting took place between Yerocosta and
Urrego-Castano in the NHS car park of Brentford Lodge, Middlesex. After several minutes
Urrego-Castano was seen to drive away from the location.
Officers moved in and Yerocosta was arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs, and
his car was searched. Recovered from the boot of his car was a black holdall containing 10
kilos of compressed high purity cocaine.
Urrego-Castano was stopped nearby and arrested. Following a search of his home address,
officers found a further 5 kilos of high purity cocaine, along with £147,855. An additional
£79,950 was seized nearby, bring the total of cash seized to £227,805.
DCI Neil Hibberd, Head of the Central Task Force (East) said: "This operation has had a significant impact on the criminal network concerned by removing both the 15 kilos of high purity drugs from London's streets and the significant profit accrued by
this group. Today's sentence will send a strong message to those who seek to deal in drugs,
thereby inflicting misery on the lives of Londoners."
