The police say they are continuing their investigations into a fatal stabbing that took place in Brentford earlier this week.

So far ten people, seven men and three women, have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his forties died on the street in Brentwick Gardens in the early hours of Wednesday morning (26 April).

The police say they were called to Brentwick Gardens at 5.15am following reports of intruders at the address. Neighbours have reported hearing shouting at the time of the incident with one describing it as ‘all hell breaking loose’. Another has suggested that there had been previous problems at the property which had been reported to the authorities and that the noise was not out of the ordinary.

The victim was discovered with stab injuries and a London Air Ambulance helicopter was summoned. Despite the efforts of paramedics who arrived within five minutes of being called, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are underway to notify next of kin.

A cordon was put in place around the scene and police are conducting house to house inquiries as well as asking for security camera footage. Those arrested remain in custody according to the latest information available.

West Area BCU Detective Superintendent Figo Forouzan who is responsible for the Criminal Investigation Department, said, "This is a truly shocking incident that will understandably cause the community concerns. I want to reassure the Hounslow residents that we have commenced a thorough investigation with the support of our homicide investigation team to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.

"I urge anyone with information concerning this incident to call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 873/26APR. If wish to remain anonymous please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit Crimestoppers-uk.org."

Cllr Ajmer Grewal, Cabinet Member for Safety at Hounslow Council said, “We are saddened to hear of the death of a man in Brentwick Gardens, Brentford this morning. We know police are making urgent inquiries and have made several arrests."
