Anyone Over 18 Could Get Vaccine at Fountain Leisure Centre

Unused vaccines being given out to those prepared to queue

If you are over 18 you may be able to get a Covid-19 vaccine by going to the Brentford Fountain Leisure centre towards the end of the day.

Unadministered doses are being given out regardless of age after 5.30pm from Monday to Thursday. There is no guarantee there will be spare vaccines and you may need to queue for some time before receiving them. There were reportedly teething problems with the queueing system on the first day of operation this Wednesday (12 May) with people waiting for over three hours before being told there were no doses left. It is hoped that in future staff will be able to advise people when they join the queue if there is a chance of the vaccine being available for them.

You will need to bring photo ID and your NHS number if you have one.

Both Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre is also drop-in vaccination clinics for the eligible age categories (currently 38+) operating 9am-7pm from Monday to Thursday.

The centre is run by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, as part of a collaborative effort with Hounslow Council.

The large-scale site is located nearby to Gunnersbury Underground Station and Kew Bridge Railway Station, and is currently giving out thousands of vaccinations each week.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
