The fourth edition of Friday Night Lights, a multidisciplinary arts event series focused on mental health and social themes, will take place at The Foundry Collective in North Acton on Friday 19 September.

This instalment centres on the lived experiences of neurodivergent communities, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette’s, and other forms of neurodiversity.

The evening will feature a preview screening of How to Build a Life, a short film by Matthew Reese and winner of the Ealing Film Festival. The programme also includes live music performances by R.O.S.Z.A, known for her electric harp compositions, and Veronia Adaeze, whose work blends reggae, neo soul, and afrobeats.

Additional performances include a dramatic monologue by JodY exploring trauma and identity, and a short piece by Hannah Whitfield, founder of the lived-experience-led collective Legally Detained. Visual art will be exhibited throughout the venue, with installations, photography, and mixed media works by Mia Merridew, Natalia Chorna, Daniela Cezara Nikola, and Berryfield Studio artists Iroha and Leen.

Guest speaker Mike Obi, founder of Paints Like a Pro, will discuss his projection painting platform and its use in curated art therapy sessions. A community painting activity led by DCN Studio will also be available to attendees.

The event is part of a monthly series produced by Munchie Lunchie Productions in collaboration with HFEH Mind, aiming to raise awareness and support for mental health across Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing, and Hounslow. Each edition combines film, live performance, visual art, and public dialogue in venues across west London.
