Starbucks Recruiting Staff for Planned Opening in Acton

Taking up unit in the Oaks Shopping Centre

The Oaks Shopping Centre on Acton High Street

December 28, 2023

International coffee shop chain Starbucks is currently advertising for staff for a new branch in the Oaks Shopping Centre.

According to a manager of one of the other stores in the complex, it is believed that it will be taking over the former Boots premises which closed earlier this year. It is though possible that access to the interior of the shopping centre will be reopened as it used to be before it was revamped so there will be entrances both from the street and inside.

The unit is currently surrounded by hoardings at the entrance inside The Oaks.

Staff for the new branch will initially be trained at the company’s outlets in Ealing and Hammersmith with baristas paid £11.70 an hour with a view to launching early in the new year.

The nearest Starbucks currently is at Ealing Common.

The news is a positive development in a mixed year for the Oaks which saw openings in long vacant units by the Banking Hub and the Card Factory. However, the collapse of Wilko has left one of the bigger units at the venue empty
