Pit Bull Attack on Uxbridge Road

Man savaged by dog as he lay on the ground

A man was the subject of a vicious attack by a put bull terrier last Friday (27th July).

He was walking along the Uxbridge Road near the junction with Old Oak Road at about 1.00pm when an unmuzzled black pit bull terrier came running towards him. It was followed by a black man on a silver bike who did not have the dog on a chain.

The dog started to bite the man's leg so he attempted to jump up on a wall. However, he fell down onto his back and the dog continued to attack him. Eventually he managed to stand up again and with a small plastic bag in his hand, he placed the bag over the dog's mouth to protect himself. At that point the dog ran off towards the black male on the bike.
