If someone is determined to commit suicide, then even if you could make it impossible at Turnham Green or other local stations (which I doubt) it is likely that they would just find somewhere else. Jumping off the platform in front of an approaching train on a deep-level tube is just as likely to be fatal. Causing Piccadilly trains to slow down and then speed up at each District-only station between Acton Town and Hammersmith is unlikely to save one life that would otherwise have been lost, while inconveniencing thousands of passengers. And as I already said, jumping in front of a slowing District train as it enters the platform at Turnham Green is just as likely to be fatal. The only real solution at Turnham Green and other local District stations would be to have the tracks screened off from the platforms, just as they are on the Jubilee line, with doors that only open when the train has halted. Suicides would then have to use SWR stations like Chiswick or Kew Bridge instead.
